    We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP YOI Foston Hall , a women's closed category Prison and Young Offenders Institution located in Derby.

    Hours

    The site currently offers a 3 long days with hours between 7am -8:30pm ( shifts can be discussed with successful candidates)

    Salary

    This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £44,100 per annum - depending on experience.

    What you'll be doing

    You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Master's Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have a real passion for developing your Pharmaceutical skills and those of your team.

    As a Lead Senior Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will

    • You'll be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service. Working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
    • The role involves providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners
    • You will lead a team of support staff and work closely with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners in ensuring effective delivery of pharmacy services.
