Reporting to the Aircraft Presentation Allocator & Duty Manager. To lead a highly motivated team in providing a world class service to our customers. To ensure your team are in place in good time and as per SLA. Good communication between the Airline representatives, Allocator & Duty Manager. Provide 100% safety oversight at all times. Ensuring all duties are completed in a timely manner.

  • To professionally lead a team Aircraft Cleaners to ensure you deliver the highest level of safety, security and performance to our customer airlines.
  • To complete Aircraft cleaning and secure cleans where required.
  • Clear rubbish from aircraft seating areas, galleys and toilets.
  • Tidy and replenish seat pocket material where necessary.
  • Wipe clean all meal trays, overhead bins and windows.
  • Wipe clean the emergency strip lighting along the aisle floor.
  • Wipe clean toilet and galley areas, including mirrors, floors and steel surfaces.
  • Replace linen where necessary including pillows and blankets.
  • Full exterior wet washing of aircraft using brushes, buckets, soap and pressurised water hoses.


Areas to be washed include full fuselage, fin, tail plane, wings, flaps, pods, engine struts, cowling and under carriage wheels.

Use of a Simon tower.

  • Tech washing of sections of aircraft using hoses, brushes and soap.
  • Areas to be washed include all flaps and shrouds, undercarriage legs and bogies plus wheels (A Check).
  • Hand washing of the belly and undercarriage bay doors by using brushes, buckets, soap and rags. Use of manlifts.
  • Inspection of the external areas of aircraft for ice and snow.
  • Removal of ice and snow from the external body of aircraft by spraying hot deicing fluid onto the required areas.
  • Operation of deicing equipment in order to effectively remove ice from the plane, such as high lift equipment and rigs.
  • Driving the deicing rig and operation of lift bucket in a safe manner.
  • Communication to pilot, colleagues and other appropriate personnel by verbal means through headsets and face to face.
  • Completion of paperwork to confirm the services carried out.
  • Carry out duties associated with the Menzies Aviation stores facility.
  • Support with the Aircraft Toilet and Water servicing function.
  • To complete daily GSE workaround inspections ensuring defects are reported to the Duty Manager.
  • The removal and installation of aircraft carpets.
  • To consistently deliver the highest possible level of customer service at all times.
  • Responsible for ensuring the airlines product is delivered consistently to demanding service level standards and on time performance targets to our Customer Airlines.
  • Provide detailed information to the Supervisor or Duty Manager for any service failures.
  • Deliver a thorough briefing to your team prior to the arrival of aircraft or upon commencing shift ensuring the relevant Menzies Safety Light System are discussed.
  • To be proactive in all areas by forward planning and taking responsibility for the job in hand.
  • Liaise with all relevant departments during the turnround of the aircraft.
  • Occasionally step up to the Allocator role or Duty Manager Role when required.
  • To ensure the safe and correct control of all resources are adhered to.
  • To comply with all Aviation regulations.
  • To actively give support, guidance and encouragement to your work colleagues.
  • Fully comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 when carrying out your duties, ensuring safety is never compromised.
  • Adhere to the company absence reporting procedures.
  • From time to time you will be expected to complete additional hours and or complete a change of shift at short notice.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Presentation Allocator, Duty Manager or other members of the Management team.
