Our Chartered Surveyors, Farm Business Consultants, Planning and Development Professionals, Valuers, Environmental Specialists and Estate Agents provide a full range of services for our rural client base.


Main purpose of the job:

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our team based in Colburn.

Within this role you will work in a dedicated team and manage a portfolio of GSC Grays Estate Management clients' accounts.


Reporting Structure:

The role reports to the Head of Accounts


The role and responsibilities:


  • To manage a portfolio of clients' accounts for managed estates.
  • To input and check sales and purchase ledger invoices in Xero Accounts software and approve payments.
  • Producing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Running client payroll.
  • Produce and check monthly management reports.
  • Process year end and liaise with accounts.
  • Assist with on boarding with new clients.

The skills we are looking for in you:

  • Possesses or studying for a recognised accountancy qualification, e.g.; AAT Level 3, CIMA, ACCA
  • At least 5 years' experience in an accountancy/bookkeeping role.
  • Experience of Farm or Estate Accounts preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of Xero Accounting software.
  • Good level of numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Good level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise busy workload
- the workload is sometimes relatively high, and the role calls for someone who can manage their workload calmly and set priorities and work to deadlines.

  • Ability to act on own initiative whilst also working with Company processes and procedures
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills ability to deal with people at all levels, including customers such as tenants and landowners, and colleagues including directors, land agents and other admin staff.
  • Possesses tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
  • Experience within a professional services organisation preferred, but not essential.

Pay:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
