- Develop and implement seasonal sales and buying plans to maximize commercial opportunities in line with company objectives
- Ensure a balanced range is bought, taking into consideration customer preferences and market trends
- Advise buyers on quantities of products to optimize sales and minimize excess stock
- Continuously review sales and stock against plans to identify areas of risk and opportunity
- Re-forecast sales for relevant product areas to monitor Open-To-Buy (OTB) and terminal stock levels
- Suggest appropriate sales strategies based on trading conditions and business objectives
- Review systems capability to identify areas for enhancement and implement upgrades as needed
- Plan and conduct inductions for new employees, ensuring a smooth onboarding process
- Support the Head of Merchandising in effective communication of company/department information to the team through weekly catch-ups, team meetings, etc.
- Coach and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Identify team training needs and implement relevant training programs
- Experience of fashion merchandising with a proven track record in multi-product areas.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify key products trends and emerging opportunities in line with customer profile to drive the business forward.
- Experience of managing a team, overseeing product direction, and managing sign offs
