    About the Role:
Great Britain's electricity system is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and vital transformation.

Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, greener system, one that protects the planet and serves generations to come.


The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for converting the product vision and strategy into user stories that will be utilised by the development team.

The Product Owner will work closely with the Product Manager and other team members to understand and contribute to the overall product strategy.


This role can be based from Wokingham or Warwick, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.


About You:

In this case, we're looking for someone who has:


  • Experience of working in a matrix team and building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Appreciation of delivering change into a continuous operational environment.
  • Ability to think both about shortterm action and longerterm strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the business value of development decisions and how they affect the lifecycle of the product.
  • Electricity or energy background would be preferred, but not essential.

What You'll Do:


  • Primary responsibility for building, editing and maintaining the team backlog.
  • Act as the liaison between the business and/ or Product Manager and the Scrum/ Agile Team.
  • Makes priority decisions on the order of user stories in the team backlog in order to best achieve goals and business value.
  • Accepts user stories as done, by helping create the definition of done and assessing work against it.
  • Acts as customer proxy and works with product management and other POs to prepare for the PI Planning meeting (where relevant).
  • Contribute to the product vision, roadmap and help define the value of a features and user stories.
  • Works with scrum masters to create sprint and iteration goals to drive team performance.
  • Ensures the team understands items in the team backlog to the level needed.
  • Attends and actively participates in

Team Ceremonies:
PI planning, backlog refinement, discovery refinement, sprint planning, daily scrum calls, sprint demoes and sprint and iteration retrospectives.


What You'll Get:


A competitive starting salary between £55,000 - £64,000 with further in post advancement


As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
