Nestled in picturesque countryside, Barnsley boasts a rich heritage and a thriving economy. The town offers a vibrant nightlife, outstanding schools, and diverse shopping and entertainment options, making it an ideal place to call home. With over 40 years of establishment, our client has earned an excellent local reputation and fostered a loyal client base. As one of South Yorkshire's leading veterinary care providers, they operate eight practices across the area. The team regularly tends to a diverse range of pets, including rabbits, dogs, cats, birds, and tortoises. Their practices are well-equipped, featuring all the necessary tools for comprehensive veterinary care. Additionally, one of their branches boasts a state-of-the-art pet and canine hydrotherapy suite. The role of the Registered Veterinary Nurse covers a wide spectrum of nursing activities, with daily tasks evolving to provide a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities include inpatient care, theatre assistance, and branch work. A valid driving license is essential as the role involves travel to branches, which are dedicated to consultations, post-operative checks, weight clinics, discharges, and nail clips. Branch-related duties are limited to a maximum of three hours per day, with the majority of time spent at the main site.     The Role:

    • Full Time role 7.5 hour days
    • Monday Friday between the hours of 7.30am and 8pm
    • 1 weekend day per month (8am 5pm) paid extra to your salary at £185 per day
    • Night rota twice nightly check on any inpatients at the practice with a flat on site should you wish to use it. Paid extra to your salary at £50 Monday - Thursday, £64 Friday and £88 Saturday and Sunday or you take it as holiday
