Welfare Benefits Specialist


Team:
Auriga Assist


Salary:
Up to £27,500 per year (dependent on experience)


Hours: 37.5 hours/Mon-Fri - Permanent


Location:
Hybrid working

(office in Sutton Coldfield, 2-3 days, and remote working)


An organisation that helps others This not-for-profit organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Welfare Benefits Specialist to join the Operations department.


What you will need to succeed:
The successful Welfare Benefits Specialist will have the ability:

  • To have an in-depth and up to date understanding of the welfare benefits system;
  • To have knowledge of services provided by the NHS, social care, trust funds and/ or debt services;
  • To have experience of providing specialist tribunal service or other representation to customers;
  • To have effective active listening techniques;
  • To be able to understand and encourage others to contribute and debate ideas;
  • To have adaptable people skills both in formal and informal situations;
  • To have high level verbal, written and presentation skills;
  • To have attention to detail;
  • To be enthusiastic and resilient;
  • To have the ability to monitor and maintain own performance targets;
  • To have the ability to work under pressure and plan own caseload/service levels;
  • You will require an enhanced DBS check for this role.

What you will get in return:

  • A competitive salary of up to £27,500 dependant on qualifications, skills, and experience;
  • Office hours between 9:00am 17:00pm;
  • Hybrid working
