Client Details
A Great opportunity for a
Garment Technologist to join a Ecommerce Fashion retailer based in Manchester. They are tomorrow's fashion today taking inspiration from latest global trends, pop culture and of course celebs. They are a multi-producton trend retailer selling athleisure through to dresses etc.


You will support the Buying & Design team with the production of the product while also looking at reducing the return rate for any fit issues.


Description

  • Understanding of basic fit requirements
  • Technical experience and knowledge required, to determine whether a garment fits appropriately for the Brand
  • Understand specification sheets and data
  • Knowledge in grading
  • How to measure garments and note measurements
  • Assisting Merch in reducing return rate
  • You will be required to work independently, with buying/design support
  • Measure and check quality and fit of all bulk gold seal samples
  • Liaise with supplier on rejection and approval of gold seal samples. Discuss findings and recommend solutions to buying/design team
  • Highlight construction and finishing discrepancies to buying/design team
  • Investigate quality issues and feedback to merch, buying, design & suppliers
  • Liaise with buying/design team on priorities, to help organize order of fit sessions

Profile

  • Previous experience within a similar role working on womenswear and across multiple product categories
  • Must be able to work efficiently and part of a team in a fastpaced environment
  • Have a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to effectively communicate with overseas and domestic factories
  • Able to use Microsoft office suite, experience in adobe suite would be a bonus but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship building skills
