    We are recruiting for a Staff Nursewho shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

    The staff nurse will be responsible for the care of women and babies within the maternity setting. The role will involve being part the midwifery and nursing team on the postnatal ward providing care to service users and babies including caring for babies on the maternity additional care pathway. The post holder will ensure the safety and well being of service users and care in a manner that always promotes the adoption of person centred care and the Patient First Initiative.

    Main duties of the job

    Care of mothers and babies in the postnatal area.

    To maintain accurate, legible and contemporaneous records.

    To maintain a clean, pleasant and safe environment.

    To work within NHS trust policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

    To contribute to audit and benchmarking to assess quality and standards of care.
