    Systems Design Engineers
    Permanent and contract available
    Delkia is a fast-growing engineering and technical company based in Cumbria and Preston, Lancashire.

    We are proud of our reputation as a specialist systems integrator for safety-related & mission-critical systems in aerospace, clean energy & maritime sectors; providing consultancy, electrical, instrumentation & control system, engineering design & build services – with our own production facilities & Electronics lab.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in platform level & systems integration across the engineering lifecycle. This includes systems requirements capture and decomposition and model based system engineering to architect the system functions.

    Knowledge of model based system modelling techniques with a strong background in practical implementation of MBSE practices at platform & system level.

    The candidate should be conversant with various industry standards and their implementation on engineering projects.

    Lead the air system requirements and architecture modelling implementation on project.
    Implement and influence the company MBSE culture and champion the MBSE ethos.

    Integrate with safety regime to demonstrate controls to support platform safety case and integrated test and evaluation planning activities.

    Guide engineering teams on the integration of requirements into MBSE system

    Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and project teams to address system integration queries and ensure that platform considerations are integrated throughout project lifecycles.

    Mentor engineers across the discipline and wider engineering teams and contribute to their professional development as well as their own.

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
    Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or equivalent.
    Familiarity with model based systems engineering toolsets and standards e.g.

    Demonstrable experience in systems integration at platform and / or systems level, with a focus on the early lifecycle startup and implementation of configuration management systems.

    Dedication to quality, configuration, reliability, security and safety with a data and evidence driven mindset.

    Ideally familiar with System Engineering standards e.
