As one of our Software Engineering Tech Leads, you'll play a key role in designing and architecting new and innovative product solutions for our Loyalty Platform, enabling members to enrol and discover their benefits and rewards of our loyalty programme.


You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers and Product Designers using your technical expertise to turn "what we need to do" into "how we need to do it", and lead of team of Engineers to bring those ideas to life.


You'll enjoy getting involved and being hands-on using modern tools and technologies, from , Typescript, React and Redux to AWS, Terraform and Docker and more.

Equally, you're always on the lookout for the right tools to improve developer experience and help us move faster.

Here are a few ways you'll be adding value in this role:
You'll share your knowledge with other Software Engineers to contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous learning


You'll help to define and shape the architecture and frameworks, looking at feasibility and technical constraints, and making sure our technology stack will support the intended product and enable the overall project goals.

You'll work as part of a delivery team as a hands-on contributor. Designing, implementing and testing of cutting-edge software components for product and client requirements

You'll review code written by other members of the team, providing technical coaching and mentorship to colleagues.


You'll be ideal for this role if:

  • You have the ability to innovate and develop software solutions; and the ability to understand product and clients' needs and define suitable solutions to meets their requirements
  • You have experience of some/all of the following tools and technologies:
  • js, Typescript (or Javascript), React, Redux, Terraform, Docker, GraphQL, REST
  • You have solid understanding of cloud architectures (AWS preferred)
  • You have a genuine interest in software development, with a strong willingness to learn and to remain up to date with new development techniques rather than assuming that the tools and techniques you know are the best ones for the job.
  • You have experience with micro services, designing, building and maintaining APIs and domain driven design as well as integrating with external APIs
  • You've worked in an agile/scrum environment, continuously deploying code dayafterday and weekafterweek
  • You're comfortable engaging with nontechnical stakeholders, explaining what you're doing and why in a simple, understandable manner.
  • You take pride in your code, looking for simple, elegant solutions to complex problems, following the principles of software engineering.
  • You're used to using version control software and have experience of implementing automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous release processes

This role will be based out of our London office (Thomas House, Eccleston Square).

We have a flexible working policy where a blended approach is encouraged, with the focus on being in the correct location for the work that needs to be undertaken.

This will involve a mix of office and home work
