    Role at a glance

    IAG Loyalty is a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation committed to innovation, expanding our core business and driving that growth through strategic ventures.

    As part of that growth strategy, we are creating a new Ventures team and this role will join a multi-disciplinary team of designers, product managers, growth marketers, engineers and subject matter experts obsessed with inventing, experimenting and building new ventures from ideation to scale deployments.

    As Venture Designer, experienced in both strategic and interaction design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our ventures and products. You will blend strategic thinking with user-centric design to create innovative solutions that address market needs and drive business growth. This role requires a deep understanding of both design principles and business strategy, as you will be responsible for leading the design process from ideation to execution.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project goals, identify user needs, and develop innovative venture concepts and product strategies.
    • Partnering with research agencies, and designing and conducting your own market, competitor and user research to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for differentiation.
    • Leading the creation of user personas, journey maps, and design frameworks to guide the development of user experiences and interactions.
    • Developing compelling and differentiated value propositions that align with user needs and market trends whilst also balancing commercial and technical considerations.
    • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
    • Iterating on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and data analysis, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization.
    • Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of designs.
    • Staying informed about emerging industry trends, design tools and methodologies, technology trends and business strategy, incorporating best practices and innovative approaches into your work.

    What we're looking for:

    • Strong creative thinking and design execution skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visual solutions.
    • 5+ years of professional experience in design, with a focus on both strategic and interaction design.
    • A proactive attitude and growth mindset, with the ability to think critically and challenge conventional thinking.
    • Experience working in a startup environment or with venture-backed companies.
    • Experience leading design projects from ideation to execution, delivering impactful results.
    • Awareness and practical understanding of current technologies and their application / relevance to digital experiences and user expectations.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, business, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in both strategic design and interaction design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
    • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, with experience conducting user research, usability testing, and prototyping.

    This role will be based at IAGL's London office in Victoria, and we have a blended approach to working at IAGL.
