As Management Accountant you will manage and develop a team of assistant accountants, working alongside the Business Partners, Treasury and Transactional finance teams.

Manage and deliver the statutory business accounts - Liaising with External auditors dealing with audit matters on behalf of the business.

Description

  • Manage and develop a team of assistant accountants, working alongside the Business Partners, Treasury, product and Transactional finance teams.
  • Manage and deliver the statutory accounts
  • Liaising with External auditors dealing with audit matters.
  • Ensure transactions are appropriately processed in the general ledger, including Deferred and Accrued income, prepayments, accruals and provisions.
  • Ownership of the of balance sheet reconciliations
- working closely with product finance team.

  • Oversee, maintain and develop the compliance and controls environment.
  • Ensure company ONS reporting data is delivered on time in full.
  • Manage the fixed asset and lease accounting and controls working closely with product team.
  • Deliver timely (following timetables issued) and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including Board Reporting. Maintain and updating a monthly accounts process task list and timetable
  • Manage any FRS developments, ensuring impact analysis is completed and required changes implemented in timely and controlled manner.
  • Work with internal auditors and tax consultants to ensure timely and accurate reporting, providing inputs as required.
  • Deliver tax (VAT & PAYE) accounting and reporting to HMRC. Own the VAT return for the Group and producing Group returns and associated accounting entries.
  • Ensure appropriate tax controls (including VAT and PAYE) and reporting is in place us liaising with external tax advisors on company related issues.
  • Drive a continuous improvement ethos within the team and function. Working closely with transactional manager and IT

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS102 an advantage)
  • Strong data analytics with advanced excel and modelling skills.
  • Strong communication with experience dealing with operations with strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Flexible approach
