Description

This role has a hybrid offer, not remote. Hybrid kicks in after probation/ during the probation period. Please ensure you live close to or can commute easily to Harpenden.

Job Purpose To manage and discuss financial reporting presentation to our clients, whilst managing a team of management accountants.


Skills, knowledge, and experience required

Management:

  • Ensure the accounts team deliver the weekly and monthly reporting required by our clients via various internal reports.
  • Support the team with any technical issue they have with clients or systems.
  • Deliver ongoing training for the existing team when required and assist in training new staff members.
  • Carry out staff one to ones on a monthly basis and provide feedback to the board of any issues arising.
  • Manage holiday and sickness for the team to maintain adequate resource cover for the department.
  • Liaise with other departments within the company to ensure good communications between teams and maintain optimum customer service.

Systems /Software Used in the business:

  • Sage Cloud Accounting
  • Sage Line 50
  • BrightPay (payroll)
  • Iris Final accounts
  • Dext Supplier invoice management
  • MS Office (Teams/PowerPoint/Excel/Word)

Essential requirements for the role

  • Qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification
  • Team management experience
  • SAGE or similar accounting systems experience
  • A number of years' experience preparing multiple sets of management accounts
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills

  • Qualified or part qualified Accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ AAT Lv4/ CIMA)
