Overview:

As the Assistant Programme Director, you will play a leading role in supporting the overall success of an elite summer programme, under the direction of the Programme Director.

This position involves assisting in the management of student safety and welfare, the delivery of the academic programme, and the enhancement of relationships, ultimately contributing to a transformative and enriching experience for all students.


The role is well-suited for an experienced leader in education who is eager to work with international students, lead a passionate team and operate in a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Student Safety:


  • Support the oversight of safety measures and adherence to safeguarding policies throughout the entire program.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Director to respond effectively to any safety concerns, prioritising the wellbeing of all participants.
  • Contribute to the implementation of a safe environment for students and staff members.

Representing Oxford Royale:


  • Uphold the company's reputation by embodying its values when interacting with students, staff, and third parties.
  • Assist in working closely with the host venue conference team, responding to requests, addressing concerns, and offering support in problemsolving.
  • Foster positive relationships with external entities, such as guest speakers and members of the public.

Student Experience:


  • Understand the twoweek timetable and align with marketing messaging to meet the student's expectations.
  • Support the leadership and mentorship of a team of teachers in implementing the academic curriculum, providing assistance in daytoday teaching skills, and aiding in planning lectures, practicals, and trips.
  • Contribute to the oversight of activities, events, and coach excursions to ensure a wellrounded enrichment experience for students.
  • Assist in ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of service to exceed the students' high expectations.

Collaboration and Leadership:


  • Assist in the management of oncampus staff, fostering a collaborative and highperformance team culture.
  • Support in providing leadership to resolve challenges with a professional and efficient approach.
  • Provide support for the Programme Director at all times.

Administration, Systems and Compliance:


  • Support the Programme Director with all summer programme compliance requirements.
  • Keep records and written reports of all incidents.

Position Details:


  • This role will be based at one of our summer sites in Oxford, Cambridge, or London.
  • Working hours will be approximately 60 hours per week across 6 days.
  • Our courses are for international students aged 1315, 1618 and run in 2week sessions, with the majority of courses running from June to midAugust 202 1 week of mandatory training and campus set up will take place before student arrivals.
  • Meals and accommodation are provided.

Essential Qualifications / Experience

  • Extensive pastoral experience working with children and young people
  • Must have proven experience working under pressure and leading teams
  • A university degree
  • Experience of leadership

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of the international education industry (e.g. from having worked on a similar programme before) and how such courses operate
