- Supporting the Home Manager to achieve compliance, with the regulatory framework, organisational objectives and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Deputising in the manager's absence and be a creative and innovative leader that supports the home to be a specialist excellent service.
- Participating in the Companies "Out of hours" service.
- Supporting the staff team with the transition of residents in and out of the home.
- Helping to co-ordinate the homes recruitment process and lead interviews for new staff.
- Acting as a mentor to new staff and co-ordinate their induction into the home.
- Supporting the supervision of all staff and report on compliance. To be a successful Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care, you'll need:
- A QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and working towards your Level 4
- At least 2 years working within a care home/ childrens home
- At least 1 years experience within a team leader/senior role
- A good understanding of the Positive behaviour support framework and the active support model as this underpins the way in which Orbis Educations & Care supports all the individual's living in the home.
- Experience of direct support experience with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
- Experience of leading a team of staff who support people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
- Ability to work independently, meet targets and supervising staff.
- Awareness of new developments / standards / best practice in the sector.
