- Role: Application Consultant
- Location: Office Based, 5 Days a Week - North East England
- Contract Type: Permanent, full time
- Salary Package:£50k plus car allowance and benefits
- Understanding and documentation of customer requirements and production of solution design documentation.
- Work with the sofco technical team to identify architecture interfaces and ETL requirements and manage documentation.
- Configuration of the sofco application in line with the solution design.
- Application Unit Testing.
- End to end testing working with Technical Team.
- Solution presentation to client.
- User Training including the preparation of training materials.
- UAT, go live and post go live support.
- Project Management where required.
- Dealing with customer help desks
- Production of "Statement of Works" against customer requirements
- Delivery of Statement of works requirements
- Estimation of project days required.
- Supporting configuration of software demonstrations
- Attending presales presentations in a supporting role
- Specification of required functionality
- Writing Test scripts
- Delivering Test scripts
- Strong understanding of key supply chain processes i.e. Demand, Inventory, Production, Procurement and Distribution in respect of interdependencies, planning and execution
- Experience in different business sectors.
- A good understanding of how ERP systems work
- Understanding of how data structures, databases, import/export procedures and ETL processes work.
- Strong Analytical skills
- Experience working as part of a project team or leading a project.
- Be comfortable in a customer facing environment.
- Ability to design and lead customer workshops and produce high quality supporting documentation.
- Ability to construct and deliver training courses.
- A good level of Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience of configuring a packaged software application
- Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft SQL Database
- Good Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills
- Be able communicate with multiple people, internally and externally, in different roles and functions at differing levels of seniority.
- Be able to bring strong leadership in the delivery of the solution
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self motivated
- Be able to work to deadlines
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually and take initiative when required.
