Senior Associate/VP - Vanilla Interest Rate Options Trader (London)
What is the opportunity?
What will you do?
- Market Making interest rate options products to bank clients in a timely, consistent and accurate fashion
- Manage risk by hedging on a range of options on differing underlying indices
- Effectively communicate, with clients and colleagues, on factors driving interest rates and volatility seeking to grow client footprint
- Execute trading strategies and ensure positions are within the desk's risk profile
- Look to attain performance objectives
- Coordinate with desk, IT and Quants teams to help improve the tooling and infrastructure
- Ensure accurate booking of transactions and reconciliation of risk, P&L
What do you need to succeed?
- Deep understanding of the market and products
- Knowledge of the relevant actors and sources of volatility product demand and supply
- Highly collaborative with a drive to grow the business
- Strong constructive communication skills
- Analytical thinker with excellent risk management acumen
- Keen to employ technology to enhance productivity
- Python skills would be a bonus
