    Description
    Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

    Please Note:
    You will need to be eligible for SC clearance for this role.
    Therefore you have to have lived in the UK for longer than 5+ years


    What You'll Be Doing:


    Lead the development of solutions to technical issues as a member of an integrated project team, reporting to Technical Leads and directly to the customer.

    Develop design solutions based on customer requirements, validating and verifying through the design process.
    Review and check design work and technical reports, providing help and direction to less experienced engineers.

    Carry out technical analysis and investigations, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability.

    Plan, deliver, and monitor assigned projects or work packages, ensuring that requirements are delivered to plan

    Your Skills and Experiences:


    Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or a high level of experience within an engineering environment, with experience writing and reviewing technical reports and specifications.

    Design experience in a production and/or prototyping environment, using finite element analysis (FEA) software to perform structural/stress analysis, and product data management (PDM) tools to manage data.

    Working knowledge of technical office processes, standards, and standard instructions (i.e., Business Management System (BMS) and Life Cycle Model (LCM)).

    Familiarity with engineering drawing standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
    Working experience using CAD software (e.g., CREO Parametrics) and PLM software (e.g., Teamcenter).
