    Jacobs has secured a long-term framework contract with Northumbrian Water in the northeast of England and we are seeking skilled people to join our growing water team and deliver on the fantastic opportunities this presents.

    These are exciting times to be involved in the water sector with major high-profile programmes of work to be delivered across the water and wastewater asset base in the years ahead.

    The water industry is facing some of the greatest challenges since privatisation and your role with Jacobs will help deliver enhanced customer and environmental outcomes and wider socio-economic benefits.

    Jacobs has secured multiple multi-year Frameworks and Projects with leading Clients in the UK, Ireland and across the Globe.

    Our Water and Environment team is looking for skilled and highly motivated people that are looking to grow their careers in exciting new ways to deliver on these fantastic opportunities in the Water Industry and beyond.

    Successful candidates will join our team of nearly 600 water professionals, who work on a range of high-profile projects.

    You could be delivering project tasks, designs and in a multi-disciplinary, multi-company environment on water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities at various stages in the project life cycle, working within our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budget.

    We are looking for experienced Electrical Engineers and Senior Electrical Engineers to join our Newcastle Office to reinforce our existing team and further support our frameworks with UK Water Companies.

    With a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and application, you will have:

    Masters Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar
    Water and/or wastewater networks
    Water and/or wastewater treatment works
    Mass water conveyance
    Worked within multi-disciplinary teams, co-ordinating and supporting junior staff
    a proactive attitude with a keenness to help strengthen Client relationships and contribute to the growth of our business
