The Position:
This is a remote/home-based role.

To support Underwriting strategies for profitable business growth and retention by undertaking risk surveys and promoting to brokers and clients the risk management support services provided by Arch Insurance.

Job Responsibilities:

Undertake property and casualty risk surveys for Underwriters in accordance with Company technical guidance, including production of reports and risk improvements within service standards.
Handle technical referrals from Underwriters, Brokers, clients and other colleagues.
Maintain personal knowledge and understanding of all relevant technical and legal issues
Disseminate information to ensure that the Survey Team and Underwriting Department are kept well informed on risk management developments including delivery of training as required.
Work collaboratively within the survey team and other parts of the organisation, participate in initiatives to enhance risk management services and market reputation.

Required Skills/Experience:

Knowledge and understanding of disciplines relevant to the identification, evaluation and control of insurable risk exposures including fire, perils, business interruption, theft/security and liabilities
Time management, organisation (preferred)and prioritisation
Excellent report writing skills
Strong interpersonal skills including communication, negotiation and influencing
Training/coaching and presentation skills
Competent in use of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Driving Licence

Desired Skills/Experience:

10+ years of surveying a broad spectrum of manufacturing, distribution, leisure and service trades.
Previous experience of delivering training and/or presentations to internal and external audiences.

Education:

Chartered Insurance Institute: CIP/ACII
Institute of

Risk Management:

CMIRM

NEBOSH: Certificate/Diploma or equivalent
