We are currently recruiting an experienced Shift Leader to join a prestigious critical environment landlord contract in Holborn, London.


The Shift leader will have building services experience to work and lead a small team of Service and shift Engineers to achieve service delivery objectives including PPM and reactive call completion within SLA/KPI, health and safety compliance for site and staff, customer service, quality assurance, statutory compliance and adherence to NG Bailey systems and procedures.


The Shift Leader will have Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) experience in a building services environment and have current Mechanical AND/OR Electrical Qualifications.


The Shift Leader will be multi-Skilled but essential to hold current or previously held electrical qualifications and HV AP (High Voltage Authorised Persons) Status.

The Shift pattern is continental, Days and Nights. (7-7)


Responsibilities:


You will:


  • Lead your team in provision of excellent service delivery by monitoring service performance, taking corrective action when necessary, across the client's premises and escalating to the Contract Supervisor.
  • Provide first line management and leadership to contract dedicated team, setting team objectives and individual performance management reviews
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Electrical Services and associated systems
  • A key success factor in the Shift Technicians role is communication, particularly in reporting plant problems / failures that may impact on the client's business. It is essential that the details of all plant problems / failures are communicated to Shift Leader immediately.
  • Ensure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time, and all problems found are recorded and communicated to the Shift Leader
  • Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
  • Checking completed work and documentation by Technicians and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Be proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and good site husbandry.
  • Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the electrical infrastructure and the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipe work and associated mechanical systems or as directed.
  • Respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with the electrical and mechanical services aspects of the contract as required.
  • Repairs of electrical and mechanical systems, controls and associated systems.

Requirements:


You will have:


  • Previous experience working at Senior Level, probably as Multi-Skilled Technician, experienced on Industrial, Commercial & Domestic manufacturers systems, carrying out PPM's in line with SFG20 or equivalent with advanced fault finding diagnostic experience.
  • 17th / 18th Edition IEE Regulations
  • Experienced in the Electrical aspects of general building Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • High Voltage (HV)

Authorised Persons (AP15) / Authorised Person:
HV Commercial Refresher (AP24)

  • Competent working knowledge of Air Handling Unit's, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment UPS, and
  • Emergency Generators
  • IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable)
  • Safe system of Work Procedure
  • PTW; RAMS etc (Desirable)
  • L8 Training (Desirable)
