    About the Role:

    Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and passionate Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher with a specialism in both French and Spanish to join a thriving mainstream secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students in the study of foreign languages, promoting cultural awareness and linguistic skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality French and Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
    • Develop and implement engaging curriculum materials that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
    • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of languages.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the development and implementation of departmental schemes of work.
    • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • A degree in French, Spanish, or a related field.
    • Proven experience teaching French and Spanish at the secondary school level.
    • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for educational excellence.

    Desirable:

    • Experience in preparing students for GCSE examinations.
    • Ability to teach an additional language.
    • Familiarity with current educational trends and methodologies in language teaching.
