The Graphic Designer plays a critical role in shaping the visual aspects of ParentPay Group's brands, including SIMS, ParentPay, Schoolcomms, Cypad, BlueRunner Solutions, Reading Cloud, UNIT-e, and Library Management Cloud.

This role involves defining design requirements, visualising concepts, and creating a wide range of graphics, including illustrations, logos, layouts, and digital assets.

To be successful, you need a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into compelling designs. Effective communication and the ability to work methodically as part of a team are crucial.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for maintaining the consistency and integrity of ParentPay Group brands across various platforms. You will execute design projects in alignment with company goals, adhering to brand guidelines and deadlines. This role is pivotal in driving customer engagement and supporting business growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Study design briefs: Review and understand design briefs to determine project requirements, including scope, timelines, and specific objectives.

Conceptualise and design: Develop creative concepts based on requirements. This includes preparing rough drafts, presenting ideas, and creating visuals, such as illustrations, logos, layouts, and other designs, either using software or by hand.

Project management with Asana: Manage the creative production process from brief to delivery, using Asana as the project management tool. Schedule tasks, update tasks, and ensure a smooth workflow.

Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with Creative Studio members, Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing teams, and other stakeholders to develop creative content that aligns with business objectives. Incorporate feedback and adjust designs as needed.

Develop brand guidelines: Work within existing brand guidelines and contribute to their ongoing development. Champion brand consistency across the ParentPay Group and with external agencies to ensure cohesive customer-facing communications.

Amend and finalise designs: Modify designs after receiving feedback and ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, accurate, and on-brand.

Support brand integrity: Ensure all creative outputs meet the highest standards of quality and professionalism. This includes maintaining brand consistency, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.

Coordinate with external partners: Collaborate with external agencies, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that creative projects are delivered as expected and align with brand standards.

Maintain high standards: Ensure all work is of high quality, visually appealing, and effectively communicates the intended message.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

Professional experience: 3-5 years of experience in a design agency or in-house design function, demonstrated by a strong portfolio showcasing creative work.

Design expertise: Strong typographical skills and the ability to design for both print and digital environments. An adaptable approach to design, capable of working on a variety of projects, including motion graphics, and UX/UI.

Creative problem-solving: Thrive on creative problem-solving, with a strong ability to translate requirements into engaging designs.

Organisational skills: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.

Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all design outputs are accurate, visually appealing, and on-brand.

Resilience and a can-do attitude: A positive mindset, with the ability to accept feedback constructively and iterate on designs without becoming discouraged. The capacity to work patiently through revisions and maintain enthusiasm despite challenges.
