Description

Are you an experienced General Manager in the big-ticket, big-box retail sector? Do you thrive in identifying top talent and forming high-performing teams? We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated General Manager for a prominent big-ticket, big-box retail provider in Glasgow.

Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate a team of sales consultants to reach sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
Recruit, train, and nurture staff to ensure they possess the necessary product knowledge and sales expertise to succeed in their positions.
Establish and track sales targets, analyze performance metrics to pinpoint areas for enhancement and expansion.
Oversee inventory levels, guaranteeing sufficient stock availability and efficient stock management practices.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and benchmarks to sustain operational excellence and adherence.
Cultivate a positive and cooperative workplace atmosphere, advocating teamwork, communication, and staff involvement.
Cultivate and manage relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to elevate the store's reputation and fuel business growth.
Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor actions to guide strategic decision-making and retain a competitive advantage.

Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise in retail management, particularly in big-ticket, big-box retail sales.
Robust leadership aptitude with the capacity to inspire, mentor, and develop a team.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, prioritizing the delivery of outstanding customer service.
Results-driven approach with a history of meeting and surpassing sales objectives.
Strategic mindset with formidable analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to prosper in a fast-paced setting and adjust to evolving circumstances.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field is desirable.
