An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Maintenance Operative to join a hard working and friendly Facilities team at Stockport County Football Club.

This is a site-based role that is extremely hands on and has excellent growth and progression opportunities.

The Facilities Maintenance Operative will work carry out tasks related to property management, operations and maintenance.

In addition to this, the role presents a unique opportunity for someone to work closely with the Facilities Engineers, gaining insight into all aspects of the workload and providing critical support to ensure the smooth functioning of business operations.


This role will allow the development of a comprehensive understanding of the business and the commercial property industry, gaining valuable experience and building a solid foundation for a career in property management.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the stadium & wider facility
  • Performing various maintenance & repair tasks that are assigned
  • Instal products and equipment
  • Identify, document and report maintenance and repair work
  • Suggest additional repairs when identified and needed
  • Supporting the administration of safety management system records relevant to all health and safety matters
  • Responsible for ensuring that all deadlines are met and that key stakeholders are kept informed of progress
  • Undertaking operational management of contracts and contractors, ensuring regular communication and escalating issues to the Facilities Manager where appropriate
  • Managing workflow and escalating to the Facilities Manager when required
  • Formatting and summarising of documentation
  • Undertaking basic research and project work when required
  • Maintaining logs and schedules
  • Working with key stakeholders of the facility to ensure maintenance is completed effectively without disruption to the occupants
  • Assisting with major work programs taking place at the stadium
  • Supporting the Facilities Manager with routine business administration
  • Opening and locking up the stadium
