About the role

And our ambitions are more than words - we have won national awards for our commercial approach as a Council and our Golden Valley development has recently been named in the Government's National Cyber Strategy.


Following the Council's recent organisational review we are looking for an Estates Surveyor to be a key part of the team responsible for some of the most significant asset management undertaken by our Council in recent years.

The Council recognise the huge importance of delivering growth and economic development post pandemic and you will have a front row seat in driving the asset management of key projects in and around the town.


The organisational review has also recognised the renewed importance of maintaining our commercial focus and this role will support the vital asset management support for this refresh as well as measuring the success of projects and opportunities brought forward for implementation.


To be successful you will need

  • Fully qualified or part qualified Estates Surveyor or equivalent experience
  • Experience of providing advice, and influencing, to senior officers.
  • Experience of work planning and meeting deadlines for self and for others.
  • Experience of working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of supporting the implementation of strategies, policy and procedures
  • Experience of supporting business cases which underpin and support key decision making in an organisation
  • Experience of building relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
