  • The Category Team is a focused and dedicated team with a clear ambition to be seen as the #1 category authority by our customers. The role of the pladis Category Management team is to help our retail customers and so pladis to grow sales of snacking products through the provision of industryleading shopper, retailer and market insights that enable robust decision making on product ranges, merchandising, business planning and promotions. We work directly with customers externally, as well as providing guidance internally to ensure alignment of our business goals with the category needs of our customers.   • What will this role achieve?
  • An ideal first step role for someone who has demonstrated leadership & achievement in a senior CDM role and shown the potential to make the step up to Category Controller.
  • The category controller accountable for the Online & Discounter areas of our Biscuits & Crisps & Snacks businesses, as well as our Cake business. The person leads & inspires the team towards development of strong trade relationships at all levels, providing category leadership and developing and implementing plans that deliver category growth. Successful execution of the category vision will result in being seen as the category advisor of choice.
  • As a leader, you will also need to influence internal partners with the needs of the category, customer and shopper to ensure that our business strategies & decisions are aligned with category needs
  • What will be your key deliverables?
  • CATEGORY VISION &

PLAN:

Develop & help implement a 3-Year vision for category growth with the focus customer(s) that identifies new ways to unlock consumption and purchase for the biscuits (& Crisps & Snacks) categories.

Implement the category plan with the appropriate Customers/Sectors; bringing it to life in a simple and compelling way that inspires the focus customer(s) to see the growth potential of the categories, makes it clear what they need to do to unlock the value and reinforces pladis as the #1 category advisor to help achieve growthFIXTURE OF THE FUTURE: In the wake of HFSS regulations & taking into account future trends & opportunities, create & deliver our vision of the Biscuits (virtual) fixture of the future by key customer mission to increase shopper engagement with the category, improve ease of shop and drive greater impulse purchase opportunities.

Ongoing drive the "here & now" translation of our fixture merchandising & in-store support online & in Discounters to drive profitable category growth for our partners & with that pladis.CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS: Broaden our contact and build close working relationships with key external customers through developing a detailed understanding of key contacts, their strategy, goals and calendar and using this understanding to proactively find opportunities of benefit to the Category & how pladis fits within those strategies.
