    The role

    will sit in our Risk Sales and Marketing team, a team that supports priority "must win" opportunities across the sectors. These are complex high-profile, strategic opportunities often involving alliances, multiple lines of service and multi-stage procurements.

    Your responsibilities

    In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Model Pursuit best practice in everything you do, bringing energy, impact and strategic sales advice.
  • Provide coaching for early client conversations, presentations and negotiations.
  • Facilitate kick off, storyboarding and win themes sessions and provide independent review and challenge of win themes, proposals and other bid materials.
  • Make recommendations on relevant propositions and collateral to share with clients.
  • Carry out internal pitch team debriefs and conduct post-pitch feedback with the client.
  • Bring the best of PwC by connecting teams with relevant people and departments.
  • Train, inspire and upskill the practice so that they are better equipped to win work.
  • Work closely with other sales experts, to form a seamless value chain for our clients and stakeholders.
  • Be an active member of the Pursuits & Proposals capability and the wider Sales and Marketing function.

    • Skills and experience required

  • Proven track record in a similar Pursuit/Proposals coaching role, with an expert understanding of sales best practice and a client focused outlook.
  • Excellent influencing, strong communication and facilitation skills in order to be credible and be able to challenge management and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work at pace, to be proactive with a positive can-do approach.
  • Commercially minded and risk aware.
  • Ability to demonstrate client-centric views.
  • Understanding of the professional services market, as well as the broader economic outlook.
  • Self-starter able to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • The ability to form networks with partners and staff at all levels.
  • Emotional intelligence and an ability to flex style to the situation.

    This role sits within the Sales capability, part of Sales & Marketing, PwC's centralised support function, and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development.
