Macildowie are actively seeking a Sales ledger clerk for a well established and expanding business based in Nottingham, NG8

This is a temporary position working Monday to Friday - Full time for minimum 3 months.


Salary paying between £13 - £14 an hour depending on experience.
75% of this role will revolve around matching / cleansing the ledger and working through historical payments, the other 25% of this role will be speaking to customers and chasing payments owed,


Key responsibilities and duties:


  • Run the weekly direct debits list for new patients that have signed up.
  • Ensure invoices match up and clear through outstanding invoices.
  • Upload into banking system to ensure all details are correct and inform sales ledger team of any discrepancies.
  • Process invoices for all customers that have signed up to direct debits.
  • Work with sales ledger team to clear any discrepancies such as duplicates or multiple months being taken.
  • Generate payments file and upload into banking system.
  • Receipt Direct debit payments in the management system.
  • Ensure amount received in bank matches payment file and bank accounts in accounting system are reconciled back to the trial balance.
  • Chase payments from customers
  • Any issues raised during the process to be followed up and dealt with.
