    THE OPPORTUNITY

    Sii UK are hiring for a role of Senior Software IVV Lead. The roles is based in Crawley, and requires being on-site for 3 days per week, the outstanding 2 days per week can be done remotely.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    To excel in this role, you should possess experience in the following:

  • Experience of leading a small team of engineers during the design & integration phase of a programme.
  • Previous experience of Software IVV & a track record of delivering software IVV packages to schedule and budget.
  • A sound knowledge of Waterfall and Agile.
  • Entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Projects Experienced in System Testing.
  • HSIT.
  • Unit Testing Experienced in Requirement analysis, Design, Coding, Testing & Configuration management.
  • Real-Time embedded systems & software in Development and Testing Scripting Technologies: Perl scripting, Python, MySQL, Visual Basic Experience of using JIRA for tasking.
  • Experience of developing avionics software to RTCA - DO-B-C guidelines, preferably to a Level C standard for developing safety-related airborne software.
  • Prior experience of software development activities using Ada, C and / or C++ programming languages
  • Experienced in Real-Time embedded systems & software in development and testing.
  • TASKS:

    The primary activities encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • In this role you will have the opportunity to lead software delivery & full lifecycle development across a range of projects, operating systems, and development environments.
  • You will play a role within the software team working across a range of technology-based solutions for Military customers in the areas of tactical mission support from planning to execution and post flight review.
  • The key focus of this role will be primarily in the military rotary wing environment, specifying and implementing software for airborne Avionic Management System products.
  • Planning and estimating software test and verification activities.
  • Production of software IVV documentation SVP, STP.
  • Monitoring delivery progress and reporting to the Project Software Engineering Manager.
  • Identifying resourcing requirements to the Discipline Manager.
