    Description

    The post holder will undertake all technical duties in the Chemotherapy Production Unit, participating in the provision of all aseptic services, in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and MHRA guidance, to ensure a high-quality, safe, timely and consistent service and contributing to the overall operation of the department.

    Training and qualifications
    GCSE grade C or above in English language, Maths

    Possession of or working towards NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services in the relevant units for pharmacy production

    Ability to assess and minimise risk in production process

    Planning and organisation
    Conscientious and creative
    Willingness to take on new tasks after appropriate training
    Flexibility - will be required to participate in rostered, flexible shift working, including evenings and weekends

    This is in line with the current guidance in England that whilst young people under the age of 18 can leave school (on the last Friday in June) they must then do one of the following:

    Stay in full-time education, for example at a college
    Start an Apprenticeship
    Spend 20 hours of more a week working or volunteering, while in part-time education or training

    Salary:
    The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
