- Ensure safe recovery post procedure, monitor the patient to ensure early identification of post endoscopic complications.
- Demonstrate technical competence and clinical effectiveness in assisting with endoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and working correctly
- Complete or be working towards Endoscopy and Trust competencies within a time frame agreed with Sister and with the support of a named mentor.

To provide and maintain the highest possible standards of nursing care within the Endoscopy Department.
We're looking for dynamic staff who want to work in a team that provides high-quality compassionate care, and can demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. We are happy to consider newly-qualified nurses as well as nurses without endoscopy experience but who are looking for a new clinical direction.
We can offer you a training program where you will be fully supported by our Clinical Education Team and other senior staff during for a 2 month supernumerary period, so you can reach your level of competence to work independently as an Endoscopy Nurse in diagnostics. There is also opportunities for development in therapeutic procedures.
