    Lead Theatre Nurse:

    Salary: starting £44,000 DOE

    Contract: Permanent

    Hours: 22.5hrs per week

    JOB PURPOSE

    Accountable for the quality of care delivered within the theatre department.

    To lead the multidisciplinary team, providing organisational leadership with continuing responsibility for the management of patients within a theatre.

    Ensures team members have identified development needs and a development plan.

    Works collaboratively and co-operatively with others to develop services provided for patients within the theatre environment.

    Provide leadership and professional development to the multidisciplinary team & users of the operating theatre by being responsible for the line management of team members.

    Lead the Team on maintaining and monitoring high standards of care by using a systematic approach to individualised care, by planning and delivering care around the model of nursing in the clinical area.

    Be responsible and accountable for maintaining safe custody, witnessing, recording and delivery of all medication to patients in accordance with the Treatment Centre's policy.

    Your sound clinical and Infection control knowledge combined with your ability to solve problems and think both literally and laterally will enable you to coach and support others in your team. We encourage sharing of best practice across our site to develop your skills and take advantage of our excellent clinical leadership knowledge.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications/ Training:

    RGN or ODP registered with NMC or HCPC E

    Evidence of recent professional development relevant to role

    Leadership qualification

    Experience:

    Current clinical expertise within Theatres across Scrub, Anaesthetics or Recovery with evidence of CPD

    Relevant leadership experience at Band 6 level or above

    Can demonstrate evidence of leading a Team and people management

    Evidence of teaching and mentoring Can demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise workload

    Experience of staff appraisal

    Experience of planning and implementing service developments

    Demonstrate understanding of HR processes pertaining to staff and management

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: £44,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

    Expected hours: 22.5 per week

    Experience:

    • Lead Nurse: 2 years (required)

    Licence/Certification:

    • NMC (required)
