    Functional and daily management of a small team of passive safety test engineers.
    Manage a team of passive safety test engineers engaged in full scale crash, engineering systems and sled testing
    # The production of budgetary proposal with costing and engineering solutions
    # Engineering function delivered within budgetary expectation
    # Liaise with customers and witnessing authorities to deliver homologation testing
    # Test planning and resource allocation
    # Maintain internal quality standards and external accreditations (includes ISO 17025)
    # Identify future training needs and maintain training records
    # Support commercial and business development activities associated with the passive safety function
    # Represent UTAC in passive safety working groups
    # Project and programme management
    # Maintain and cultivate relationships with OEM passive safety customers
    # Monitor future legislation and future passive safety trends and derive investment plans


    Qualifications:
    Engineering graduate or able to demonstrate equivalent experience in a product test or laboratory environment
    Ideally passive safety or vehicle engineering test experience in an OEM (Auto or Aero)
    Demonstrable team leadership experience in a test or engineering environment
    Ability to react to a changing workload
    Applied first principles understanding of engineering dynamics
    Programme management with multiple stakeholders and high-value complex test assets
    Familiar with high-speed data capture techniques and hardware
    Data analysis and manipulation (Diadem, X-Crash, Cam2Measure advantageous)
    CAD (Solidworks or similar) advantageous
    Flexible and adaptable
    Flexibility to travel inside and outside the UK as and when required
    Full UK driving license & own transport (UTAC Millbrook is not easily accessible via public transport)
