Compliance Administrator
This is a part time role, working 25 hours per week, term time only plus school inset. Required to start in September 2023.


Reporting to the Headmaster:


  • The purpose of this job description is to outline the main responsibilities of the Compliance Administrator. It is not restrictive and includes any other reasonable request that may arise. The safety and wellbeing of the children in school is paramount at all times. The Compliance Administrator is responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children for whom they are responsible, or with whom they come into contact with. The Compliance Administrator will adhere to and ensure compliance with the school's Child Protection Policy at all time. If in the course of carrying out their duties, the Compliance Administrator becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the school, it is their responsibilities to report any concerns to the schools Designated Senior Lead for Child Protection or the Headmaster._
The Compliance Administrator is expected to be fully conversant with the School's ethos and demonstrate this at all times.

Responsibilities

Compliance

  • Ensure that the School's policies and procedures are fully compliant with all demands, both legislative and of the Independent Schools' Inspectorate;
  • Conduct internal audit of the school's policies and procedures to ensure they are robust and fully compliant;
  • Develop procedures and practices to ensure that these requirements are met;
  • Draw up schedules of review and followup, as necessary;
  • Understand and ensure full implementation of school policies and procedures in particular relating to ISI regulatory requirements, safeguarding, child protection, Health, Safety and Welfare, Safer Recruitment and Data Protection;
  • Spread awareness of policies, and promote the observation of practices and procedures designed to ensure compliance;
  • Stay uptodate with current regulations and inform and advise the Head, staff and governors of all relevant rules and guidelines set by governments and other regulatory bodies such as the Independent Schools' Inspectorate;
  • Identify the need and organise any training relevant to meeting regulations for staff and governors as appropriate, completing event forms, risk assessment as required;
  • Ensure the School's handbooks and website content is in line and up to date with current policies;
  • Ensure staff, governors, contractors etc. sign all relevant policies (including but not limited to KCSIE, H&S), forms, annual declarations as required;

Inspection

  • Act as custodian for all inspection documentation as set out in 'ISI Documentation Required for Inspection'.

Other

  • Cover the Reception desk at such times as both the School Secretary and Front of House Administrator are absent, submitting an overtime form as appropriate;
  • Any other reasonable request made by the Headmaster.
  • Assistant the HR Officer with the HR compliance administration
