My client is a London based educational organisation who are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end transactionalfinance processes for several of the organisation's key entities whilst working as part of a vibrant, dynamic team.


The key duties of this Accounts Payable Officer role are as follows:

  • Full responsibility for ensuring that all invoices for your remit are processed correctly and that all payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Hold key oversight of the full sales ledger process, raising invoices and posting payments into the accounting system.
  • Provide invaluable support in the preparation and review of bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Play a critical role in the development of cashflow forecasts and reconciliation of control accounts.
  • Prepare BACS payments and process all staff expenses on a monthly basis.


This role is for a well-established, dynamic organisation and offers and fantastic opportunity for someone who has some experience in a transactional finance role who is now looking to make their mark on a great organisation.

Furthermore, this role willofficially be based out of the organisation's offices in central London, with an occasional need to travel to their sites in Greenwich, but hybrid working arrangements will be on offer.


  • Strong accounts payable experience.
  • A professional demeanour and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ideally, hold a qualification such as AAT or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a medium to large size organisation.
