Ada Meher are proud to be partnering with a scaling B2B2C SaaS company with office space in both Bristol & London as they recruit a Head of Software Engineering to help them drive innovation and growth in their technical team. The successful candidate will be leading a team of 7 working on the roadmap and delivery of the platform as well as taking a higher-level view of strategy for recruitment, team growth and culture as they prepare to scale the engineering function.
The current tech stack is MEAN focused with AI based components and serverless AWS deployments, so the ideal candidate with have a strong JavaScript/Typescript background with some knowledge or interest in cloud deployments and artificial intelligence. The role will involve a split of both hands on (reviews/architecture etc) and hands-off work so applicants should be comfortable with the stack and also leading code reviews, mentoring and implementing processes/standards.
As a B-Corp business, our client has a strong focus on social responsibility and well-being for their employees. Because of this, you can expect over 30 days holiday a year (plus bank holidays) as well as a flexible employer that truly cares.

Whether it be that you need a few hours in the middle of the day for an appointment or to work abroad for a couple of weeks - their flexible approach empowers individuals to work their job around their life, not the other way around.
That said, you can expect to meet up with the rest of tech team once or twice a month in Bristol and the whole business once a quarter in London – so flexibility for some level of travel or locality will be necessary
