Training & Competence Manager (Mortgages) - London


Our client is an award-winning, HNW Property Finance Broker with an outstanding reputation throughout London (And other parts of the UK).

They are also a 'Women in Finance Charter' signatory.


The team are a combination of Residential, Specialist Finance and Insurance professionals that provide a bespoke service to their clients to secure funding on an array of different cases including residential clients, commercial property developers, businessowners and landlords.


Responsibilities include:


  • Ensuring Advisers are adhering to TCF rules
  • Supporting advisers meeting CAS standards
  • Certification of advisers
  • Training & Development
  • Delivery of Induction
  • Assist new mortgage advisers through the journey to reach CAS status.
  • Assisting mortgage advisers with maintaining Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • Completing mortgage adviser's observations.
  • Mortgage advisers 1:1 T&C reviews
  • Identified learning from file reviews and observation to mortgage advisers
  • Delivery/schedule annual mandatory training workshops
  • Delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on T&C issues to line manager.
  • Meeting departments heads monthly to review mortgage advisers file checks.
  • Observations completed and actions followed up

Skills required:


  • Sales & T&C experience is essential within a FCA regulated Mortgage & Protection environment
  • Must have full CeMAP (Or equivalent)
  • Able to demonstrate the good quality communication
  • Organised and methodical in approach
  • Must be able to demonstrate a collaborative and values led approach
  • Personable and engaging personality
  • Must have demonstrable experience of compliance
