    Wayman Education is looking for a Year 3 teacher in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, East of England This is an opportunity to work within an Outstanding primary school in East of England. The school is looking to appoint a class teacher who will enjoy teaching an academic yet creative, topic-based curriculum in a school with exceptional pastoral care.

    The School

    This is a wonderful and welcoming school in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. It is easily accessible by public transport and seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from January 2024. The school has an Outstanding Ofsted rating. The school is happy to consider applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs. The school has a supportive culture and is an excellent place for both students and staff members.

    Responsibilities of a Year 3 teacher:

    • As a Year 3 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment
    • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
    • Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
    • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories
    • Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

    Year 3 Teacher requirements:

    • QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
    • Creative, imaginative, determined, resourceful and adaptable practitioner
    • Passionate about learning
    • Able to demonstrate a track record of success within a Year 3 environment
    • Able to communicate your passion to children and parents
    • Ability to demonstrate outstanding practice in the classroom
