Looking to progress to an FC role, read on

MERJE are delighted to be exclusively working with an Employee owned FMCG Organisation who are currently going through a transformation.

As part of this Transformation they are restructuring the Finance Team and require a Talented Assistant/ Financial Controller to support the FC in leading the finance Function.

Key responsibilities include

To assist with the production of accurate periodic financial and management accounts and help prepare published statutory accounts
To assist with the preparation of all Corporation Tax documentation for Statutory and Company purposes.
To assist with the reconciliation of VAT records and documentation and submit the VAT return
To provide accurate and meaningful analyses of financial information as required by the Finance function and other functions to maximize business efficiency.
To assist and act as custodian of the sap chart of accounts ensuring all GL accounts, cost centres and reporting structures reflect business performance.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of budgets and periodic reforecasting.
To assist with all aspects of external reporting including Funders, Insurance, HMRC, credit agencies.
To assist in the control of working.
Assist (and deputise for in the absence) the Financial Controller on all financial aspects affecting the financial control team.
To assist with implementing and developing robust internal financial controls

Being a qualified accountant you will be looking to progress your career into a Financial Controller role with the following skills.

Experienced at implementing change to maximise efficiency in processes, results and team structure.
Extensive experience working in a FMCG Manufacturing accounting environment;
Experience working as a line manager/supervisor within a busy and effective finance department.
Excellent systems experience
