Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location:
Ollerton

Salary:
£44,778

Hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm

Our client specialise in the manufacture of construction product materials which includes Bricks, Concrete Blocks, Thermalite Blocks, Precast Concrete Beams and Flooring, Chimneys, Roof Tiles, Pre-cast Retaining Walls and Pre-cast Culverts.

You will be joining a team of 8 Mechanical Engineers

Duties:

Reacting to breakdowns as an when they arise
Working from daily PPM schedule on preventative maintenance tasks
Daily line walks
Oiling and Greasing
Filter Checks and Changes
Checking all pumps and pipework for leaks, plus checking pipe thickness
Changing any worn parts identified from line walks and PM inspections
6 Monthly two week shut down for major overhaul in which the plant is shut down completely
Use of hand tools and power tools
Fault finding on mechanical components
Use of milling machine, lathes, grinders, welding (MiG, Stick or ARC)

A lot of the mechanical components need to be made from scratch in their workshop.

Experience:

Must have work on automated equipment
Must have experience maintaining mechanical manufacturing equipment
Must have a recognised Mechanical Qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ level 3, or recognised apprenticeship
Fabrication and welding to repair parts
