As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising the integrity of the financial control environment across the UK Group by managing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants and reporting to the Interim UK FinanceDirector.


What will you be doing as a Financial Controller?

  • Responsible for all aspects of the UK Group's financial control environment, ensuring that rigorous processes and procedures are always operating effectively across the Group.
  • Responsible for the integrity and reporting of the balance sheet, including oversight of completion of key monthly control processes such as the monthend close process and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the financial consolidation model and associated workings
  • Responsible for all aspects of external regulatory reporting including control of the yearend statutory account's preparation process and key liaison with external auditors.
  • Oversight of treasury function including daily cashflow forecasting and management of all bank accounts
  • Oversight of all regulatory submissions including HMRC returns and payments ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Oversight of transactional areas of Finance including sales ledger and purchase ledger across group companies
  • Responsible for improvement in Finance process efficiency through automation and optimising usage of systems

What are we looking for in a Customer Service Advisor?

Essential Experience:


  • 3 years + post ACA or ACCA qualification
  • Practice background, ideally Big 4 although will consider comparable experience
  • Experience within a similar position
  • Excellent staff management skills
  • Strong planning and organisation skills essential

Desirable Experience:


  • Experience of Netsuite
  • Experience of system implementation or process automation (desirable)
