    Food Preparation Assistant


    Contract:
    up to 12 months


    Rate:
    £12.66 per hour (+Time & 1.25 on Sundays )

    Mileage: 35p per mile

    Hours:8 36 hours a week


    Location:
    In-store, Perth, Scotland PH1 2NR


    We are looking for individuals interested in helping out in store, welcoming customers and engaging in taste tests and panels with them.

    A great part-time opportunity with a community centred approach, we'd encourage those who can confidently engage and speak with others to apply.

    Full training for this role is provided no previous experience necessary.


    Skills:
    Must be able to drive and have own vehicle
    Food hygiene certificate
    Friendly, engaging and happy to talk to people and welcome them in store
    Able to hold conversation and suggest products, take notes and feedback
    Excellent customer approach,
    Previous experience in a customer engagement environment is beneficial
    IT skills an advantage (for tracking info and results)
    Full training will be provided including food hygiene courseWhat you do:

    Recruiting shoppers from the stores and inviting them to take part in blind tastings

    Preparing the food for the tasting. Ensure that safe and legal protocols are adhered to at all times.


    Working within a team of people either in store or in mobile locations to conduct untrained customer panels on various products.

    Includes recruiting customers, using questionnaires and asking questions face to face to gather responses on the performance of various products
    Working methodically to follow methods & routines & using the correct tools to handle, prepare & cook both raw & cooked products for presentation to customers
    Working to achieve team targets & deliver department workload by contributing equally & supporting colleagues
    Recording & presenting data accurately on databases & spreadsheets
    Attending planned training days & achieving the required pass score to ensure skills & knowledge are maintained
    Checking company branded products against specification for visual, intrinsic & sensory quality tests
    Supporting the Quality Team by conducting other ad-hoc customer testing when requested
    Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

    Driving to other stores to pick up products Please note in ordet to be suitable for this role you must have worked in food handling/ kitchen enviroment and have a driving license with acces to you own vehicle.
