Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) - Barnet

Key Responsibilities:

Providing support to pupils with special educational needs in the classroom
Assisting the teacher in creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
Supporting pupils with ASD and other complex special educational needs in achieving their goals and overcoming barriers to learning
Working closely with the teacher and other staff members to ensure the needs of pupils are met
Maintaining accurate records of pupils' progress

Key Requirements:

Experience working with children with special educational needs, specifically children on the autism spectrum
Strong understanding of the needs of pupils with ASD and other complex special educational needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Prior experience working in a specialist SEN school is an advantage.
