    Junior MEC Broker

    We're hiring

    Aon are currently recruiting a Junior Broker/Account Specialist to join the Marine & Energy Composite team in London.

    As a member of the Marine & Energy Composite team you will support Account Executives (AE's) and senior members of the team to execute reinsurance transactions and proactively manage client and market specific projects throughout the lifecycle of engagement.

    What the day will look like
    • Working closely with AE's and Analytics Lead's to proactively manage the renewal process and successfully transact a reinsurance placement including
    • Analysing clients' reinsurance information to identify risk transfer solutions
    • Designing proposed reinsurance structure and setting desk pricing with AE and Analytics Lead considering KPI's, market dynamics and economic benefit
    • Managing client expectations by communicating market dynamics and anticipated outcomes to client in advance of placement milestones
    • Playing an active role in marketing and placement, handling queries, and providing regular client updates
    • Developing and delivering strategic account reviews and account plans
    • Sourcing and actively developing new revenue opportunities in conjunction with AE's and client teams
    • Supporting the implementation of client plans and client growth objectives, including RFP involvement
    • Supporting team projects by applying analytical skills to aid effective planning and identifying growth opportunities
    • Actively assisting with the development and administration of specific resources to advance market intelligence, including liaising with internal and external sources to advance market insight
    Skills and experience that will lead to success
    • Minium 2 years working in a reinsurance broking, technical, claims or analytical underwriting environment; ideally with project and account management experience
    • Demonstrated experience in a sales/client facing environment
    • Inspires commitment and action in others (both internally and externally) through strong communication skills.
    • Considers the underwriter's perspective to adapt approach
    • Invests time and resource in Research & Development to find new products/solutions to meet clients' needs
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Able to manage conflicting and changing priorities
