    Financial Controller, St Neots
    £Reed Finance are seeking a Financial Controller to join a modern manufacturing business with exciting plans for the coming months and years. As Financial Controller you will contribute to the smooth running of the department, ensuring the achievement of financial and business objectives. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who can manage financial management tasks, deputise in the absence of the Finance Director, and lead a team of 2.

    This could suit an experienced Financial Controller (or equivalent) or a Finance Manager / Management Accountant looking for a step up in responsibility.

    Manage a team of 2 accounts assistants, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
    Implement and maintain robust internal processes and controls to ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
    Oversee day-to-day cash management and maintain a short-term cash forecast.
    Manage the credit control function to ensure timely collections.
    Prepare monthly entity and consolidated management accounts for 3 companies, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses.
    Complete monthly payroll reports for outsourced processing and liaise with sales and operations teams to improve efficiencies.
    Provide administrative support for the HR function and maintain the fixed asset register.
    Administer the pension scheme and ensure the production and submission of statutory returns, including VAT & PAYE.
    Assist with the production of annual budgets and forecasts and other ad hoc financial management tasks as needed.
    Proficiency in consolidated management accounts and cash management.
    Familiarity with Finance /
    Project management/job costing experience.
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work to deadlines and multitask.
    Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
