We now have a fantastic opportunity for Communications Engineer to join our team to work on a range of exciting projects for clients across the UK and internationally.
    • We are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in connectivity to help our clients design and implement effective solutions. This role will be a key part of our Connectivity capability and will enable the right candidate to have a real impact on the development of our business in this area.

    YOUR TEAM

    • Working with clients to help them make effective decisions about telecommunications and technology.
    • Deliver technology strategy insights to relevant stakeholders to help them understand technology options available to support them in their mid to long term planning.
    • Carrying out case analysis to drive conclusions and recommendations that can underpin technology choices.
    • Taking part or leading detailed technology strategy assessment projects (financial/functional/operating model etc.)
    • Understanding business and technical requirements and defining technical architectures
    • Collaborating with client, partners, and supply chain to define technical solutions to complex problems.
    • Acting as a connectivity SME within our team to mentor colleagues and provide support and guidance across projects and bids
    • Keeping up to date with technology developments and best practices

    We'd love to hear from you if you have:

    • Objective, strategic thinking with Networks/Telecoms experience
    • Experience delivering telecoms solutions in a role such as engineer, architect or analyst.
    • Fixed and Mobile Network strategy experience a plus
    • A keen interest in 5G, connectivity solutions and in their impact on the world
    • Client-facing experience and excellent communications skills, both written and face- to-face with the ability to work well as part of a team. Experience in a consultancy, pre-sales or business analysis role would be an advantage.
    • Experience using consulting skills to evaluate sophisticated technology investment options, advise senior stakeholders and shape group strategy through structured recommendations.
    • Good analytical skills and a proven ability to think creatively to solve problems.
    • Knowledge of and passion for some of the following areas:
    • Mobile technologies such as 4G and 5G
    • Internet of Things
    • Neutral Host and private networks infrastructure
    • Telco cloud
    • FTTH, xDSL
    • A degree in an engineering, science, applied mathematics or other technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience is a plus.
