    Description

    SEN Teaching Assistant

    Location: Havering | Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent | Hours: 8:30 - 3:30 | Salary: £95 - £105 | Start Date: ASAP

    We are looking for a teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a child with ASD in Havering. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism, and will be able to build a positive and supportive relationship with the child.

    Responsibilities:

    Work 1:1 with a child with autism, providing academic and emotional support.

    Help the child to develop their social skills and build positive relationships with peers.

    Monitor the child's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and parents

    Support the child in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials to meet their needs.

    Requirements:

    Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism.

    A warm and patient personality, with a passion for helping children reach their full potential.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

    A relevant qualification, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

    Must have SPLT experience.
