Ferndown Upper School

Teaching Assistant - Term Time Only plus 5 Staff Training Days

28.5 Hours a Week

Permanent Role - To start as soon as possible


Due to internal promotion and an increased number of students, we are delighted to be able to offer further opportunities within our school community.


We require Teaching Assistants (TA) to work with an established team supporting specific students with special educational needs, both in class and in a 1:1 situation.


Applicants should:


  • Relate well to young people
  • Be dedicated to ensure the students' needs are met
  • Be understanding of students' additional educational needs
  • Have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English A*C (essential requirement)
  • Be advised this can be a physically demanding role

The salary quoted is the actual salary for the role based on a full academic year being worked and includes paid holiday entitlement.

Salary payments are made over twelve months and will be adjusted accordingly for the period being worked.
